Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Academic and Student Support Associate at our new Union County Extension Campus. This dynamic role combines essential receptionist responsibilities with data entry tasks, providing vital support to both students and faculty. This staff position will work 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm. This position will have a two-week training period at the TCAT Knoxville Main Campus before transitioning to the Union County Extension Campus.
Job Duties
The Academic and Student Support Associate position is responsible for performing a variety of office tasks in support of Student Services. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• The Academic and Student Support Associate position is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service while managing a variety of office tasks to support Student Services. This role will encompass serving as the front receptionist, where the associate will greet visitors, provide guidance to current and prospective students regarding admissions and registration, and ensure that all inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.
• In this capacity, the associate will not only answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system but will also assist students and visitors in navigating the campus and accessing the information they need. Maintaining accurate records in the Banner system for all student admissions processes, such as applications and registration. The role also involves supporting enrollment management efforts and assisting prospective students with completing online applications. The Academic and Student Support Associate will prioritize projects, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and foster relationships within the campus community, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all. Assist the department with commencement ceremonies and other college recruitment activities and events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent and a graduate of a technical diploma/degree program
• Minimum of three-five years of customer service work experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with the Banner student information system

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS - This position often involves a combination of the following potential physical demands:
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to the Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines within the range of $31,763 - $39,704.
