Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for leading a team of accounts payable associates in executing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining compliance with institutional policies and financial regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, approvals and payment execution. Oversees weekly check runs. Monitors aging reports and vendor balances, resolving issues promptly. Maintains vendor records, responds to payment inquiries and supports vendor relations. Assists the Director with reporting and special projects.
Partners with procurement, finance and other departments to improve accounting workflows and resolve invoice issues. Prepares and analyzes reports, highlighting trends, KPIs and opportunities for improvement. Implements process improvements and ensures compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Supervises accounts payable associates, providing training, guidance and performance feedback. Promotes team collaboration and accountability with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Five (5) years of relevant experience
At least three (3) years of experience supervising or leading a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree

Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Must possess critical thinking skills in order to identify the underlying principles, motivations, reasons or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Strong customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the community. Excellent computer skills, including experience working with spreadsheet/database programs.
