Title: Adjunct Instructor – Clinical Nursing (Pool)
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses and laboratories as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Work with program, semester and/or course coordinators to facilitate communication with clinical sites and coordinate clinical schedules. Assist in the selection of program equipment. Participate in the development, evaluation, revision and accreditation of courses, programs and curricula. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email account and department mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends. Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
Associate’s degree in Nursing
Active RN license in Tennessee or approved compact state
Evidence of clinical expertise in a related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Rate of Pay: Varies by course
