Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions & Records, the Admissions and Records Associate is responsible for advising applicants on eligibility for admission, admission requirements, program options, residency requirements, and other matters related to the admission and enrollment of prospective students. They serve as a resource to students, parents, the College community, high schools, and other feeder institutions in interpreting admissions policies and procedures and responding to general questions about the College.
Job Duties
Complete other assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
• One year of experience with data processing in higher education or a similar field
Preferred Qualifications
• Two or more years of experience in a student-facing office in higher education
• One or more years of Banner Student experience
• One or more years of Slate CRM experience
• Conversational ability or fluency in a second language
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive and collaborative attitude. Must be a team player willing to help in whatever way necessary to support our office and students.
• Ability to work independently and to assist in problem-solving for students, staff, and the public.
• Ability to multitask and work with frequent interruptions.
Additional Notes:
• Occasional travel to off-campus sites may be required (Kingsport, Gray, and Elizabethton)
