JOB SUMMARY
The Adult Education Department Assistant provides administrative and operational support for the department, including purchasing, financial records, student services, records management, and office operations. This position works with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to support efficient department operations and provide quality customer service.
This is a grant-funded position supported by the Adult Education grant; therefore, continued employment is not guaranteed beyond the current grant period ending June 30, 2028.

WORK ACTIVITIES & EQUIPMENT
Work activities regularly involve the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, and related devices to perform tasks including data entry, document preparation, email communication, and report generation.
JOB LOCATION
This is an on-site position based in the Career Education Building on the main campus of Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. The role may involve travel within the college’s five-county service area and occasional travel throughout the state and nationally for meetings, conferences, and professional events. Travel across the service region for meetings and other activities may also be expected.
