Job Title: Assistant Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach (Temporary Part-Time)
Campus Location: Morristown Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist and help oversee a successful cross-country program for WSCC.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists in developing schedules, team stats, team travel, and budget manager for fall program.
Recruits athletes via email, phone calls, and travelling to various races to select talented athletes.
Fundraise for the cross-country program.
Assists in developing daily practice plan for athletes including strength and conditioning training (fall & spring.)
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree
Working knowledge gained from experience running a successful cross-country program.
Strong communication skills and ability to persuade prospective athletes to attend WSCC.
Experience either coaching or participating in collegiate level cross country program.
Up-to-date knowledge of the collegiate rules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree

Physical Demands (including requirements for travel or working nights/weekends/holidays):
Requires working some nights and weekends.
May be required to drive team van on some trips.
Requires extensive travel for recruiting and tournaments.
