Job Summary
Roane State Community College is seeking qualified applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Music Instrumental Education. The successful candidate will serve as the coordinator for the Music department, direct the instrumental ensembles, and teach additional music courses to both music majors and non-majors.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in music with evidence of experience in instrumental education, particularly conducting, directing, and individual instruction.
• Evidence of experience in leading a variety of ensembles in various styles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Experience with alternate delivery methods such as online, interactive, synchronous, and hybrid.
• Ability to teach individual lessons on concert band instruments.
• Experience in teaching general education Introductory music courses.
• Ability to teach specialty classes such as music theory, ear training, music history, and digital music.
