Job Summary

The Education Faculty member is responsible for teaching a variety of Education courses in traditional, online, and web-enhanced formats while providing academic advising and support to Education students. This position serves as a liaison to the Education community, participates in college committees and functions, and contributes to student success through instruction, mentorship, and engagement. Candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in Education, hold an active Tennessee teaching license, and have experience teaching in both K–12 and higher education settings.

Job Duties

  • Plan and teach Education courses as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi.
  • Advise Education students.
  • Teach live, online, and web-enhanced Education courses.
  • Serve as liaison to the Education community.
  • Serve on college committees and attend college functions as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in Education from an accredited institution.
Active TN Teaching License.
Experience in teaching K-12.
Experience teaching at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, the ability to work with students of all ages, and exhibit flexibility and collegiality.
Experience with alternate delivery methods such as online, interactive, synchronous, and hybrid.
