Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is accepting applications for the full-time Welding Technology Associate Instructor position! We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to fostering a vibrant and engaging learning environment for both adult learners and dual enrollment students at the Knoxville main campus and other locations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality instruction that inspires and empowers students to excel in their welding careers. You will play a key role in cultivating a positive classroom and laboratory atmosphere where students can thrive and develop their skills. The work schedule is 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalency is essential, along with a post-secondary diploma or an Associate Degree in Welding Technology or a related field. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of work experience in the welding occupation, demonstrating both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The ability to effectively provide instruction in both theory and hands-on applications is crucial for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, we would highly value candidates with AWS, CWE, CWI, and NCCER certifications. Additionally, teaching experience will be considered a strong asset.

• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common software programs
• Strong abilities in multi-tasking, customer service, interpersonal skills, and organization
• Must possess communication skills necessary to effectively interact with students, the public, and employees at all levels, both written and verbal

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines within the range of $50,894 - $61,074.
