Job Summary
Reporting to the Dean of Science, the Instructor of Biology is responsible for teaching an average of 15 hours each semester of assigned courses, including biology and human anatomy and physiology, via on-ground, online, hybrid, or web-enhanced modalities. They help develop and evaluate curriculum, provide academic advisement for students, and promote communication with transfer institutions, professional associations, and other external constituents to support student success.

Minimum Qualifications
• By time of appointment, candidate must have Master’s Degree in Biology or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Biology from an accredited institution.
• One year of experience teaching biology lectures and/or labs at the secondary or post-secondary level
• Experience with curriculum and/or course development
• Teaching experience with technology including online instructional tools and mobile devices
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Technology Skills: MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Outlook; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
· Ability to work with student populations who represent a wide range of academic abilities.
Additional Notes
Candidate for the position must be qualified to teach biology and human anatomy courses.
The position may require travel to off-campus teaching sites.
The successful candidate will begin their teaching responsibilities in January 2025.
