Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing data models, dashboards, and reports to support effective data distribution at the College. The Business Intelligence Analyst queries databases and disseminates data to the college to identify trends and create actionable insights that lead to improved organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This position works extensively with college data, as it exists in data tables, SPSS files, and enterprise resource planning, and collects and gathers external data that can be integrated to create a data story of the college. The Business Intelligence Analyst may also provide predictive modeling expertise in areas of strategic information.
Job Duties:
Develop reports and dashboards to enable self-service access to key indicators required to monitor progress against College goals on key performance indicators including student recruitment, student enrollment, student success, persistence and retention, and general college trends. Provide graphic and numerical display of information for presentation to a variety of audiences. Provide in-depth analysis and research new insights and strategies that can improve institutional data analytical dashboards and reports. Prepare annual college profile reports, including those required by the state and federal agencies. Collect and analyze data and input from multiple external and internal sources and organize into actionable information. Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs. Perform research assignments including data retrieval/collection, tracking, analysis and interpretation, and reporting. Provide training and professional development to faculty and staff that increases the depth of knowledge regarding college data meanings, usage, and dissemination. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
One year of experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
Five years of experience in a related field.
Experience in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of computer applications and languages such as SPSS and/or SAS, Microsoft Office (Access, Excel and Word) used for the collection, analysis and presentation of research findings.
Familiarity with Banner, HTML, JAVA, Visual Basic, or PowerBI is a plus.
Experience in SQL programming.
Possess analytical skills and statistical ability to translate raw data from disparate sources into information and knowledge utilizing business intelligence reporting tools.
Strong understanding of database concept.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal communication and project management skills.
Pay Rate: $53,050 - $66,310 annual salary depending on experience
