Job Summary

This is a full-time, fiscal year appointment reporting to the Nursing Department Head. The Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator provides coordinating support to faculty and students for clinical placement.

The coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the procurement of clinical sites for practical learning experiences of students, ensuring clinical contracts are current, participating in preparation of self-study/annual/other reports, and other duties consistent with this role. The coordinator may be credentialed to teach in the classroom and clinical settings.

Job Duties

  • Identifying and assisting in clinical site selections
  • Assessment and evaluation of clinical experiences of students
  • Using the TCPS (HealthStream) system to request and manage clinical placements
  • Ensure entry of required student and faculty clinical placement information into TCPS
  • Communicate with partner facilities about clinical placement needs
  • Schedule student orientation at the start of each term at clinical facilities
  • Review clinical sites to ensure they meet program and accreditation requirements
  • Conduct clinical site visits to evaluate the clinical learning experiences of students
  • Maintain records of all clinical placements
  • Act as liaison between clinical partners and program

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse License
  • Professional practice as a registered nurse in clinical setting
  • General computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
