Job Summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time faculty position of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technology Instructor to be located at Core Civic Correctional Facility in Clifton, Tennessee.

Job Duties

• Develop, plan and prepare a complete progressive course of study, syllabi, lesson plans, assignment and instructional aids, and keep these revised and up to date to meet the requirements of industry.
• Administer assessments to evaluate student progress.  Maintain student academic records and submit reports related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.).
• Conduct and/or attend meetings, day and/or evening with educational institutions, business and industry to develop working relationships with employers and program advisory committees. 
• Participate in recruitment of students; Assist with student placement and student follow-up. 
• Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the CAD Industry. Overnight travel may be required.
• Motivation, conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance of student during the time he/she is on the institution campus are also duties of the instructor.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of recent employment experience in the CAD, drafting and/or technical drawing field.
• Must be proficient with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, Additive Manufacturing layout programs, etc.
• Preferred experience in Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, Civil Drafting and Structural Design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
• Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal standing, sitting, and walking
• Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, stoop, stand and work, with or without accommodation, to demonstrate and perform all work-based projects in a classroom and instructional setting.
• Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.

SALARY: ($51,149 - $61,379)

Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines
