Job Summary

Correctional Programs Coordinator manages all grant reporting and compliance requirements, manages program budgets, purchases supplies and equipment for all correctional complex programs, serves as a liaison between correctional facilities and TCAT Oneida/Huntsville, assists instructors in providing training to correctional students as needed, and assists instructors in maintaining academic records.

Job Duties

  • Manage all grant reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Manage program budget to ensure all deliverables are being completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage the purchase of identified supplies and equipment for programs at correctional facilities.
  • Manage technology and equipment associated with correctional programs. Serve as a liaison and point of contact between correctional facilities and TCAT Oneida/Huntsville.
  • Support lead instructors of correctional education programs including Building Construction Technology, Computer Information Technology, and Welding Technology and provide technical training to correctional students as needed.
  • Assist lead instructors of correctional education programs in maintaining student academic records related to the programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree
Three years related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Teaching experience
Computer skills and/or relevant computer certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Organizational and communication skills
Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft applications, email, etc.)
Indication of willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel
Commitment to remaining current with industry practices through professional development activities
Ability to travel and/or work after school activities such as graduation, in-service, etc.
