The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) is Tennessee's largest higher education system, governing 40 post-secondary educational institutions with over 200 teaching locations. The TBR system includes 13 community colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing programs to students across the state, country and world.
The overall mission of this position is to support students, faculty, and staff in the delivery of academic-oriented supportive programs and services.
Job Duties
Supervises and provides guidance to the following departments: Library, Learning Center/Learning Support, Academic Advising/Articulation, Dual Studies, Early College, Middle College, Distance Education, TN eCampus, and the Center for Teaching Arts and Technology.
Oversight of Curriculum maps.
Direct all activities and processing for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) and advising of students seeking credit for work experience or non-accredited college experiences.
Responsible for NC Sara compliance, reporting and membership, including annual updates to the Professional Licensure Directory.
Commencement Committee – serve as the chairperson for the Commencement committee to include all communication to graduates and internal stakeholders.
Convocation/Professional Development and Adjunct Faculty workshop – schedule, plan and promote the events to faculty and staff.
Assist with College Catalog.
Serves on department or college-wide committees as assigned: Academic and Curriculum Council, Commencement, TAF Budget Committee, Accessibility, ATD Core Team, General Education, Strategic Planning.
Oversight of Commencement.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree required. Ten (10) or more years of experience in post-secondary education. Managerial/supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of TBR, SACS-COC and college policy/processes for academic programs. Banner and DegreeWorks experience. Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively coach towards project completion.
