Title: Director, Career and Transfer Services

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of the Career and Transfer Center is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of the center. This role involves developing and implementing programs and services that support students in their career development and transfer processes. The Director will collaborate with faculty, staff, employers and transfer institutions to support student success and ensure alignment with the College's mission and goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Provide visionary leadership for the Career and Transfer Center. Supervise and evaluate center staff, including career and transfer support personnel. Develop and manage the center's budget and resources. Design and implement career development programs, workshops, and events. Develop transfer advising services and resources to assist students in transferring to four-year institutions. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to integrate career and transfer services into the curriculum and student experience. Provide individual and group career counseling and transfer advising.

Assist students in developing career plans, resumes, and job search strategies. Facilitate connections between students and potential employers through job fairs, internships, and networking events. Establish and maintain relationships with local employers, community organizations, and transfer institutions. Promote career and transfer services across the College. Represent the college at career and transfer-related conferences and events. Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of career and transfer services. Prepare reports and presentations for college leadership and stakeholders. Use assessment results to continuously improve programs and services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in career services, transfer advising or a related area in higher education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration or a related field

Experience in a community college setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong leadership and management skills to guide staff and oversee center operations. Expertise in career development theories, higher education systems and labor market trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in career counseling, transfer advising and using relevant technology. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with college goals. Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills for program assessment and improvement. Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills to build relationships that support student success. Experience with program development and assessment. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed. Ability to travel for conferences and partnership meetings.

Rate of Pay: $58,762.00 - $73,452.00 depending on experience
