Title: Distance Education and Teaching & Learning Center Assistant

Job Summary
Provide assistance to the Distance Education and Teaching and Learning Center departments by scheduling meetings, travel arrangements and maintaining the Distance Education and Teaching and Learning Center calendars and websites. Maintain the HelpDesk Ticketing system and support faculty, staff, and students by providing technical support for our learning management system, video conferencing, and classroom technology.
Job Duties
• Greet faculty, staff, and students and answer telephone requests with general instructions
• Maintain Distance Education and TLC calendars and websites
• Serve as department manager of the online HelpDesk ticketing system
• Schedule meetings, arrange appointments, make travel arrangements, and order supplies as needed
• Provide Tier 1 technical and daily support to faculty, staff, and students using Desire2Learn, Zoom, and Respondus
• Utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Inventory, account for, and maintain equipment including, but not limited to computers, copiers, shredders, laminators, and projectors
• Create, proof-read, and edit documents including letters, newsletters, and reports
• Gather and compile information as requested for files or reports using Argos
• Assist in maintaining professional office/workspace.
• Stay updated on all policies and procedures
• Attend administrative training, seminars, and conferences as needed to perform the job
• Assume other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associates Degree required.
• 2 years office-related work and customer service experience
• 1 year recent database entry and computer work experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in Higher Education supporting faculty and students
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Applicant should possess an extensive knowledge of the operation and use and technical requirements of PC computers and online technology
• Office administration, public relations, time management, organizational, and scheduling skills required.
• Must be able to exercise ethics and maintain confidentiality.
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• High level of accuracy in data entry
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment while giving discerning attention to detail
• Team player with initiative
• Ability to perform multiple tasks
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Pay Rate: $28,797 - $34,555 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience, which is defined by the current compensation plan.)
