Position Title:                Dual Enrollment Specialist

Location:                         Elizabethton Main Campus

Department:                 Dual Enrollment

Job Summary:               This is a full-time administrative support position reporting to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator and providing admissions and academic support for Dual Enrollment students.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with experience, Technical Diploma, or associates required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in an office or customer service environment; experience in higher education preferred.
  • Banner experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience using multiple business software applications including Adobe, Word, Excel, and other MS Office applications. 
  • Ability to tactfully and effectively communicate with the public, employees, and students at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and submit accurate reports with close attention to details.
  • Demonstrated experience of time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies, regulations, and manuals.
  • Ability to design and maintain record-keeping systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally on a regular basis.

 

DUAL ENROLLMENT DUTIES:

  • Provides assistance for all recruiting and admissions functions including hosting tours, special events, and outside recruiting events
  • Provides outstanding customer service to faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
  • Registration of all Dual Enrolled Students
  • Billing for Fall/Spring per Contracts once aid has been determined/awarded
  • Exiting Dual Enrolled Students who are not returning in the Fall/Exiting all DE students in the Spring
  • Report Verification for Dual Enrolled Students attended hours vs. Bill hours
  • Helping with transition from Dual Enrolled student to FT student
  • Certify dual enrollment students with TSAC and process awards in Banner.
  • Results are oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Assist with state and federal dual enrollment reporting requirements.
  • Maintains and applies strong working knowledge of internal and external policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Assist team members when necessary to enable the success of the department.
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining records of site visits and instructor feedback for dual enrollment programs
  • Local travel as required to complete duties
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Heavy use of computer and data entry
  • Normal standing, sitting, and walking
  • Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.

SALARY RANGE:

Administrative Support Associate Level 6 (pay grade 7), $38,434 - $48,042 annually. Commensurate with education and experience according to TBR salary guidelines and applicable experience.
