Job Summary

The Enrollment Assistant supports the admissions and enrollment process at Roane State Community College, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective and current students. Responsibilities include assisting students with applications, guiding them through registration, and answering inquiries about admissions policies, deadlines, and requirements.

Job Duties

• Access and correctly interpret information in Banner related to admissions/records/financial aid.

• Analyze and problem solve student situations to provide accurate responses.

• Anticipate student needs, always providing the most thorough information.

• Review documents to determine validity and scan, verifying documents are readable and all pages have been included.

• Deal with conflict situations and assist in providing solutions.

• Communicate with students through email, phone and in person conversations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree
• Minimum 1-year customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of admissions, records and financial aid in college/university setting.
• Ellucian Banner 9 knowledge.
• Experience working in an educational setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must possess excellent communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work autonomously, making confident decisions as well as serving as a team player.
• Ability to adapt to change as college and departmental policies and procedures change.
• Proficiency using Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to accurately communicate information verbally and in writing in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately and independently on a daily basis.
