The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Facilities Support Associate 2 for the Dickson Campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the safe use of chemicals and equipment and how to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Knowledge of the material and equipment used in custodial/janitorial tasks.
  • Courteous and pleasant demeanor with co-workers, students and the general public.

SKILLS

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to follow proper safety procedures at all times.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment to perform tasks related to custodial/janitorial duties.
  • Mature attitude and dependability required.
  • General computer skills required.
  • Valid Tennessee driver license.

GENERAL DUTIES:  The Facilities Support Associate 2 will perform custodial and/or janitorial duties including, but not limited to: cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining assigned interior and/or exterior areas on a routine schedule; restocking custodial supplies as needed; collecting and disposing of trash from assigned areas; training facilities work study employees; cleaning and maintaining floors in assigned areas; assisting with classroom and meeting room set-up and clean-up, and other duties as assigned. Some travel and work at satellite campuses may be required. Work schedule for this position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Strength requirements (physical demands) - Mental and Visual Demand:

    1. Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    2. Walking or standing continually; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use body members (arms, hands, fingers), tools, or special devices to work, move, guide, or place objects.
    3. Requires mental and visual attention to detail.

SALARY:  $27,129-$31,694 per year ($13.91-$16.25 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, related experience and related education.
