POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
FULL-TIME FACILITIES SUPPORT ASSOCIATE
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Henry/Carroll is seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities Support Associate to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring that all campus facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, clean, and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position with paid holidays and benefits package.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of janitorial/custodial and/or grounds-keeping experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
The Facilities Support Associate is to perform cleaning and grounds-keeping work as required. Working independently, but under the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator and college administration, this position is responsible for maintaining the college buildings and immediate grounds and performing other duties as may be assigned.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the buildings. Daily removal of inside/outside trash from all buildings, lawns, and parking lots.
- Clean counters, sinks, floors, tables, drinking fountains, and chairs in breakroom areas.
- Vacuum classrooms, lobbies and offices.
- Dust mop/wet mop halls.
- All restrooms cleaned and mopped daily.
- Supply hand towels, toilet tissue and hand soap to restroom and shop areas daily.
- Clean glass doors/windows as needed.
Traveling to different locations is required.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications, experience, education and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
