The Financial Aid Specialist at Roane State Community College role involves assessing eligibility for various aid programs, including federal, state, and institutional grants, loans, and scholarships.
Job Duties
Verification of Financial Aid files
Process and award Federal Pell Grant
Process and award Federal Direct Loans
Resolve over awards in student FA packages
Oversight (certifying, awarding, reconciling, award adjustments, issue resolution, reporting) of the following programs/processes:
Tennessee Student Assistance Award (TSAA)
Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Student Engagement Reporting
Electronic Consent Monitoring
Resolve student data and suspense files in BANNER Reporting to federal and/or state agencies
Process Athletic scholarships
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Two (2) years of Financial Aid experience, prefer in-depth knowledge of verification, awarding, program information.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with Banner, COD, NSLDS; FAST.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work independently and within team environment. Analytical thinking and ability to multi-task. Ability to present Financial Aid information at various events.
