Job Summary


The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson is accepting applications for the full-time position of General Construction Technology Dual Enrollment Instructor. This position will be at Fayette Ware High School.

• Plan and execute engaging and effective lessons for students in a variety of building trade disciplines
• Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
• Stay current on industry standards and developments to keep lessons up-to-date and relevant
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an instructor


Job Duties

 

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma Required. Technical training diploma or associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Prior teaching experience in a vocational or technical education setting.
• Industry certifications in relevant building trades.
• Familiarity with modern construction techniques and technologies.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and software for instructional purposes.
• A degree in building trades, construction, or a related field
• Significant experience working in the building trades industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach and motivate students of all ages and backgrounds
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the building trades
