Job Summary
This position is responsible for all simulation technologies in the health science division including manikins, audiovisual recording system and storage. The responsibilities include scheduling support, facilitation of technology utilization, and education of faculty and staff on use of simulation technologies.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with Microsoft office Suite as well as internet and database applications. Knowledge of Mac O/S is beneficial.
• Minimum 3 years IT support.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree.
• Other license/certifications – health related license and/or certification (CHSOS).
• Experience working with simulation technologies (software and hardware).
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment and software recording, duplication, mixing, editing.
• Minimum 2 years simulation technology support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to learn new software and hardware.
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot and repair equipment failures in a timely fashion.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with internal and external individuals from different disciplines and different levels of training.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Self-motivation, requiring little supervision with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Regularly use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, controls: reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The duties and responsibilities may require frequent prolonged standing or sitting. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
