Pay Rate: $18.60 per hour
Work Hours: Up to 32 hours per week (Weekly Schedule: M, W, T, F 8a – 430p)
Position Summary: The responsibility of this temporary role is to perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the College’s human resource department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day administrative/clerical support:
•
o Staffs the HR office from 8a – 430p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday weekly.
o Provides clerical support to the HR department (incl., but not limited to delivering/collecting mail, answering department phone, managing general HR inboxes, etc.)
o Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
o Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard HR practices and policies; refers more complex questions to appropriate level HR staff or management.
• Specialized Support (Event Planning/Project Management):
o Assists with planning and execution of special events (incl., but not limited to benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, etc.).
o Assists with planning and execution of special projects (incl., but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, employee records management, training and development, compliance and policy administration, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related field required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
• Ability to engage in the college's mission and values
