HVAC Instructor Correctional Program

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position for the HVAC Program at the South Central Correctional Center in Clifton, Tennessee. 

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Instruct students in technical training to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the HVAC field through lecture, demonstrations, and/or audio-visual aids.
  • Prepare and/or revise syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans.
  • Administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain student academic records and submit reports related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.).
  • Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the HVAC industry. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Conduct and/or attend meetings, day and/or evening, with business and industry to develop working relationships with HVAC industry personnel.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of successful recent employment in the area taught.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
  • Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus.

SALARY: Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines
