Job Summary

• Assist with developing, planning, and preparing a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aids.
• Assist with updating plans to meet professional requirements.
• Monitors conduct, safety, and discipline during training.
• Provides motivation to students.
• Assist with placement of students in the workforce.
• Participate in recruiting and evaluating students for programs.
• Participate in professional development activities, including cooperating with outside agencies and program advisory committees.
• Assist with conducting advisory committee meetings annually, and visits to area employers.

Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Minimum five (5) years of successful work experience as an HVAC Technician in industrial, residential, and/or commercial HVAC systems, including installation and service
• EPA Universal Certification
• Communication skills necessary to teach students; teaching experience is preferred
• Commitment to remain current in the trade

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or higher in the trade preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude
• Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with local industry partners
