We are seeking to build a pool of Adjunct Faculty/Substitute Instructors for our evening programs. If you have solid work experience and applicable skills in the field of Heating Ventilation Air-conditioning/Refrigeration Technology, we invite you to consider sharing your knowledge on a part-time basis.
SUMMARY
The evening Heating Ventilation Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Instructor shall coordinate with the full-time program faculty and shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques, reviewing periodicals and industry magazines commensurate to the course being taught. The instructor shall follow and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise.

AVAILABILITY/CLOSING DATE: This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty/substitute instructors are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
HOURLY WAGE: $20 to $30 dollars per hour, commensurate with experience and TBR/Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
