Title: Instructor, Biology - 9/10 Month (Term) - North Davidson Campus
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check your NSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines. This position will be based on the North Davidson campus in Madison with teaching assignments at the Southeast campus in Antioch. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Biology (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Biology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Ability to teach a variety of biology courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Rate of Pay: $41,051 to $51,314 annually, depending on experience
