POSITION SUMMARY
The role will be responsible for the following:
Develop courses, lessons, exercises and examinations in the area of English Composition; remain current within field of assigned instruction, related occupational areas and technologies; acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current instructional methodologies and materials; attend scheduled college, divisional, professional development and in-service activities; support related professional organizations by attending meetings and serving as officers; participate in annual faculty evaluation process

The successful applicant will possess evidence of innovative composition instruction, will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the field of composition and rhetoric, and will provide strong recommendations from his or her appropriate supervisors.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in English, Rhetoric and/or Composition, or related degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with a documented record of community college teaching experience, experience teaching in rural areas, and experience in a variety of delivery formats including hybrid instruction, dual enrollment, and accelerated term schedules.
Salary Range:
Instructor: $41,555 - $50,900
Assistant Professor: $46,211 - $57,764
