Title: Learning Center Specialist

Job Summary

Manage office and building during evening classes, with alternating schedule when classes are not in session. Assist students with admissions, financial aid, business services, advising and registration. Assist with distance learning equipment, and other technology as needed. Provide customer service and administrative office duties.

Job Duties

  • 50% - Manage office and building during night classes. Answer phone, greet guests, make copies, assist faculty and students. Maintain daily headcount comparison reports. Close out touchnet payment system and complete daily cash deposit reports. Perform nightly closing of building. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Assist students with applications, registration, elearn and jweb. Proctor exams, take student ID pictures. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Maintain bulletin boards, set up and take down for events, create flyers, maintain classrooms. Create folders and assist with orientations and registrations. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Other duties as assigned. - (Marginal)

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, and minimum one year office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree or higher education certificate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge and/or experience using a Microsoft Office application. Banner database experience or knowledge is a plus. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills; ability to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills. Customer service, time management, organizational, and scheduling skills required. Reasoning abilities required for decision-making, advising and assisting students, applying relevant policies, procedures, and performing various tasks.

Pay Range: $31,677 - $38,011 Annual salary depending on eligible experience which is defined by the current compensation plan.
