Title: Manager of Facilities
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages the daily operation of the College’s physical plant and campus facilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises maintenance and HVAC staff. Responsible for creating and managing a preventive maintenance program for all campus utility systems. Negotiates preventive maintenance contracts. Manages current records and blueprints for all sewage, water, electrical, gas and HVAC systems. Inspects all contractor repairs for completeness and compliance with codes.
Oversees facilities service contracts for janitorial, landscaping, etc. Regularly meets with service contractors to ensure smooth delivery of services. Coordinates routine maintenance and facilities projects with departments across campus. In collaboration with the Executive Director, establishes department goals and objectives. Assists with preparation of the department operating budget.
Keeps Executive Director informed of contract or contractor issues. Assists the Executive Director with capital projects and renovations, consistent with TBR policies. Provides monthly reporting on work orders and other metrics. Stays abreast of emerging technologies related to facilities maintenance/management. Serves as the primary contact for Campus Directors concerning purchase orders. Coordinates regular and ongoing safety training for the department, including OSHA, MDS, Bloodborne pathogens, forklift safety, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Seven years’ increasingly responsible experience in physical plant maintenance
Five years’ supervisory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing maintenance operations for multiple locations/campuses
Experience overseeing facilities maintenance in a higher education setting
Experience with budget development/preparation
Experience negotiating contracts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, electrical and preventive maintenance principles. Working knowledge of central plant, chiller operations and related utility systems
Ability to travel to all campus locations as needed. Basic computer skills. Ability to plan and estimate building and maintenance costs.

Rate of Pay: $55,050 to $68,813, depending on experience
