Job Summary

Responsible for attracting and engaging with potential students, promoting the college’s programs, and facilitating the admissions process.

Temporary recruiters are needed for the following territories:

1. Scott/Campbell
2. Cumberland/Fentress
3. Loudon/Knox
4. Anderson County/Morgan

Job Duties

  • 1. Outreach Activities: Participating in college recruiting activities, including college fairs and community outreach events.
  • 2. Campus Tours and Presentations: Assisting with college fairs, visiting schools, and conducting campus tours. Deliver group presentations to showcase the college’s programs and services.
  • 3. Student Engagement: Engaging with students in local high schools, adult learners, and the broader community. Excellent interpersonal and group presentation skills are essential.
  • 4. Understanding College Offerings: Demonstrating expert knowledge of the college’s programs, certificates, and degrees. Recruiters should be well-versed in community college services related to careers and transfer options.
  • 5. Administrative Tasks: Managing administrative tasks such as making calls to prospective students, managing student enrollment inbox for general inquiries and typical day to day tasks. 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma with valid driver's license/reliable transportation.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend events and meet prospective students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using technology and databases for tracking recruitment efforts.
