Job Summary

The Senior Program Coordinator (SPC) is a member of the QuILTSS Grant team. The SPC is primarily responsible for providing leadership and management of the implementation of the program. This position will supervise the Program Specialist. This position is contingent upon work and funding.  This position is a grant funded position. The grant is scheduled to end in summer 2025.

Job Duties

  • 25% - Develops and implements recruiting efforts in high schools and in underserved communities - (Essential)
  • 5% - Collaborates with TennCare, External Affairs and Program Administrator to develop marketing materials and communication plan - (Essential)
  • 10% - Collaborates with the TennCare Apprenticeship Administrator to recruit partnerships and participation - (Essential)
  • 20% - Coordinates communications with campus support staff providing wrap-around services that support the trainees. Campus offices that support retention include the student support offices of financial aid, admissions and records.
  • 25%Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Develops and implements a business plan including coordinating all application decisions, forms for financial disbursement, and reporting requirements by the grant. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Develops and maintains master files on sub-grant awards ($600K annually), and data collection required by the grant. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Tracks and coordinates with trainees and trainee mentors the number of patient encounters as well as data reporting requirements for TennCare. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Performs other related duties as assigned - (Marginal)

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of program or project management experience
• Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a relevant field (higher education administration)
• Proficiency in Microsoft suites

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree
• Knowledge of project management software
• Experience with developing business processes and data collection
• Federal grant management experience
• Supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proven track record in project management
• Strong technical skills, including anticipating and adopting new applications
• Experience and success working cross-departmentally and with executive management
• Strong attention to detail including following or documenting processes
