GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Student Engagement Support Associate at the Athens location. This dynamic role combines data entry tasks with visits to local high schools to help students apply for dual enrollment and is responsible for organizing student engagement activities. The successful candidate will work 7.5 hours per day, totaling 37.5 hours per week, and contribute to the success of student engagement, dual enrollment, recruitment, and student retention activities at the college. This is an in-person (not virtual) position that requires travel to local high schools, other campuses, and SkillsUSA events.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience processing documents where attention to detail was required.
• Experience with basic finances including the ability to manage a balance sheet.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience with event planning.
• Work experience in higher education.

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
