Title: Systems Analyst II

Job Summary

This position provides broad technical support and direction to the various college departments and offices by designing, developing, maintaining and enhancing multiuser mission-critical computing processes and procedures and ensuring reliable information and a stable application environment to meet institutional needs. This position is responsible for computing systems including but not limited to job scheduling, reporting, integrations, electronic forms, internal portal support, CRM projects, and both data imports and exports.

Job Duties

  • Independently monitors, analyzes, reprograms, tests, debugs, maintains and enhances complex business and operational computer application software. Monitors Automic, Argos and Dynamic Forms output and statuses in order to ensure systems are operational and to address any failures or delays in processing or work. Communicates with customers when processes fail and resolves complex technical problems including but not limited to integrations, logins, data inconsistencies and changes to our environments.
  • Serves as a point of contact for the entire college staff for analyzing and identifying solutions to users’ data requirements. Develops a working knowledge and understanding of a client’s functional business operations and designs supportable reporting and/or job scheduling solutions. Ensures data integrity and maintains security standards and files for both system access and data maintenance. Serves as a point of contact for the entire college staff for designing new, or modifying existing, objects in the user portal (jWeb). Completes CRM (Slate) projects as assigned, working with end users to create or modify objects within the CRM.
  • Maintain and enforce systems, policies, and procedures in compliance with audit requirements and provide documentation to support and explain procedures and projects.
  • Coordinate the processing and delivery of reports and information requested by TBR and the client community.
  • Serves as Project Manager for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of electronic forms. These projects include working with the client(s) to map business processes and to design the communication and approval workflow associated with the form, any API data extraction from Banner into the electronic form, the lifecycle of the form and its long-term storage strategy.
  • Keep skills and knowledge up-to-date/current with technology trends and best practices through interest groups and professional organizations, reading and research, and formal training and conferences/meet-ups.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Information Systems or related field.
• One to two years of Systems Analyst experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Oracle Relational Database Systems and programming languages such as SQL, PLSQL.
• Proficient in the use of the Linux operating system.
• Proficient in the use of Banner, Banner Self Service, Ellucian Experience, Slate, Excel, job scheduling software and reporting software.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in Oracle Relational Database Systems, Banner and programming languages such as SQL, PLSQL.
• Proficient in the use of the Linux operating system, Banner, Banner Self Service, Ellucian Experience, Slate, Excel, job scheduling software, reporting software.
• Ability to articulate complex technical information to business partners who do not have the same technical understanding.
• Ability to convey job schedule, reporting, and technical vision, possibilities, and deliverables, and to set client expectations.

Pay Rate:  $55,523 - $69,405 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience, which is defined by the current compensation plan.)
