Tech Foundations – 12 Month Associate Instructor, Part-Time
Title: Tech Foundations – 12 Month Associate Instructor
Classification: Part-time Faculty
Office Location: Warren County Jail, 108 Security Circle, McMinnville, TN 37110
Hours: Between the hours of 8:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or as needed to fulfill duties of the position.

General Duties:
The Technology Foundations Instructor reports to the Vice President and is responsible for the development and coordination of the remedial and developmental program provided by the institution to include the following content areas: math, reading/language, and critical thinking. The instructor must be able to guide students with identified deficiencies in specific basic skills through an instructional application program (WIN Learning)) and track students’ progress accordingly. Assessment and evaluation of skills levels necessary for the student’s success in occupational programs will be a responsibility of the Technology Foundations Instructor. The Technology Foundations instructor will also assist in administering various certification tests for different programs to help students obtain additional industry recognized credentials. Institutional required certifications could involve group or individual teaching.

Physical Demands and Working Requirements (ADA Requirements):
Walking, climbing, bending, and stooping. Work performed in office, classroom, and shop/lab environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, education, and training according to the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
Employment Documents: Current federal law requires identification and eligibility verification prior to employment. Only U.S. citizens and aliens authorized to work in the United Sates may be employed. A criminal/financial background check will be required for applicants elected.
Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, Country Criminal, and Federal Criminal.
