The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) is Tennessee's largest higher education system, governing 40 post-secondary educational institutions with over 200 teaching locations. The TBR system includes 13 community colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing programs to students across the state, country and world.
Receives and directs callers and visitors to the Cookeville campus.
Job Duties:
Answers switchboard / telephone; directs caller, based on nature of call, to appropriate office/person or gives appropriate directions to the campus over the phone. Answers inquiries and provides factual information pertaining to the campus verbally. Greets visitors, determines nature of business, directs them to appropriate office/person and notifies appropriate person of visitor’s arrival. Sorts and distributes mail for faculty and staff. Assists with special events as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. One year of experience in an office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree. Experience in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with Microsoft Office software. Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communications with public. Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and various office equipment. Demonstrates excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Exhibit positive customer service philosophy.
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour

Work Hours: Part-time. Hours may vary depending on need.
This position may work at the Cookeville or Livingston campus depending on College needs, but the primary location will be the Cookeville campus.
