Job Title: Temporary Part-time Professional Advisor (Grant Funded)
Hiring Salary: $15.00 per hour
Institution: Walters State Community College - Morristown Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose: Partner with students and assist them in determining and achieving their education and career goals. Assist students with career assessment and planning, support onboarding efforts prior to and during new student orientation sessions. Provide ongoing academic advising support and follow up with an assigned student population and guide students to college and community support services. Develop career and academic field expertise and gather transfer content knowledge through collaboration to share with students, faculty advisors, and staff.

Leadership & Supervisory: The incumbent has no authority or responsibility for the supervision of others. The position is not responsible for project direction and/or program administration. The position operates with limited supervision. The immediate supervisor is available when needed.
Environment & Working Conditions: Duties are performed in a typical office environment that is clean, well-lit, quiet, and temperature-controlled. The position requires travel. Therefore, the incumbent is regularly exposed to varying weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, rain, snow, etc., for short periods of time.
